Purpose of processing
RheinChip Materials processes contact form submissions and direct email enquiries to respond to business requests from suppliers, customers, and partners. The legal basis is generally legitimate interest in handling business enquiries and, where applicable, pre-contractual communication.
Data collected through the contact form
The contact form may collect name, company, email address, phone number, country, role, website, product category, application information, documentation requirements, estimated timeline, and message content. This information is used to handle the enquiry and related follow-up.
Email delivery
Email delivery can be handled through Resend when configured by the site operator. Form data may be transmitted to that service to deliver the enquiry email. The production privacy policy should name the final processor and link to the relevant data processing terms.
Hosting and server logs
The production hosting provider may process technical access data such as IP address, timestamp, requested URL, browser type, and server response information for security and service operation. The final policy should identify the hosting provider used for deployment.
Cookies and analytics
The MVP does not include analytics, advertising cookies, embedded videos, or third-party tracking scripts. A cookie banner is therefore not included. If analytics or third-party services are added later, this policy and the consent setup should be updated before launch.
Retention
Business enquiry data is retained only as long as needed to handle the enquiry, maintain business records, or meet legal obligations. Exact retention periods should be finalized according to the operational and tax setup.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, individuals may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection to processing, or data portability. Individuals may also lodge a complaint with a competent data protection authority.
